TOBY!

This is Toby. I along with  other students  recieved our steers around the month of November 2013. I had Toby for approcimately 8 months . Since the first day I got him, every day I would come in monrings and night to clean and feed.  He wasn't too friendly at the beginning due to the fact that he was still a baby, and I was a strange person for him. After weeks have goned by, I would get closer to him so that he would understand that I was a friendly person. He eventually got used to me and started to walk towards me more often. Everyday I camed in, I amde sure that he was taken care of. I began practicing with him by first putting on the halter on him so that he would get used to it, and not go crazy. I would then start to practice walking with him. Because in order for him to show, he needed to learn how to walk with a person holding on to him. As he learned, his progress increased and he became better and better each day. He finally learned to walk with me. Toby was unique from any of my other projects, because he learned how to show very qickly, and by doing one tap on the geround with my showstick, he knew exactly what to do, and that was to fix his feet. He was always full of energy. I worked with Toby for about 20 to 24 hours a week him. I made sure that he was always happy and not in a rough environment. The same routine of cleaning and feeding continued until the 2013 OC Fair, where it would be my termination of the project.
